For many, borders are rigid divisions—separating countries, cultures, and people. For Lars, borders are starting points—markers for where opportunity begins and where impact is made.
Born in Germany and raised in the Netherlands from the age of six, Lars learned early that adaptability, collaboration, and focus drive results. Moving schools and navigating new environments taught him that challenges are opportunities to grow and excel.
During a six-month European Erasmus Foundation program, Lars collaborated with students from across Europe. He discovered that success is built on shared goals, clear communication, and delivering measurable value—principles that have guided every role he’s taken on.
After his studies, Lars faced hundreds of applications and limited opportunities. Instead of waiting, he took initiative, gaining experience in temporary roles until CTX Europe offered him his first strategic opportunity.
When CTX Europe closed operations in the Netherlands, Lars saw opportunity where others might see disruption. Volunteering to transition operations to the UK, he led cross-functional teams, optimized processes, and ensured smooth delivery—his first major step into international IT leadership.
Following the UK, Lars joined Anheuser-Busch InBev in Prague as a Senior Master Data Specialist. There, he optimized business processes, introduced automation that reduced manual processing time by over 60%, and improved data quality and consistency across the organization. His ability to streamline operations and deliver measurable improvements earned him recognition as a trusted problem-solver capable of driving efficiency at scale.
After InBev, Lars moved to DHL IT Services in Prague, where he implemented automation solutions, optimized workflows, and reduced service interruptions. His initiatives consistently improved operational efficiency, SLA compliance, and service quality, establishing him as a highly effective leader in global IT service management.
In 2017, Lars relocated to Heredia, Costa Rica to establish DHL Supply Chain’s first ITS support group. From the ground up, he built a high-performing, multicultural team, standardized operational practices, and ensured consistent delivery across global operations. His work demonstrated that leadership, structure, and collaboration deliver results no matter the location.
After four years, he returned to Prague, taking responsibility for global incident response, service improvement initiatives, and team mentoring. Every project emphasized measurable impact, efficiency, and sustainable improvements, cementing his reputation as a top-tier IT service professional.
Lars’ career demonstrates that effective IT leadership is about execution: identifying what matters, delivering results, and empowering teams to succeed. Across continents, teams, and technologies, he focuses on his guiding principles:
Where you start is irrelevant. What matters is the impact you create, the teams you empower, and the results you achieve. Borders may exist on maps, but in professional achievement, they are irrelevant. Lars has spent his career connecting people, optimizing systems, and delivering measurable outcomes—always ensuring that every challenge is an opportunity for meaningful improvement.
In the end, it’s not about where you begin—it’s about the value you deliver, the teams you enable, and the results you achieve.
